BODYWORK

In 2009 I graduated from a 750 hour massage program and have been a licensed massage therapist since. The school I attended taught many modalities of massage and bodywork, including Thai massage, Swedish, deep tissue and myofacial release technique.

As I continued to work on bodies I gradually gravitated to more of a deep tissue, sports recovery type massage, but really curate each bodywork session to the specific needs of each client. I also maintain a CPR certification.

Massage was a natural path for me to take, as a child I was always interested in anatomy and the human body. I grew up with the dream I would be a doctor, specifically a pediatrician. As I aged a bit and discovered the natural healing arts I knew that was more the path for me.

Massage is a perfect way to help people get more in touch with their bodies and help ail pains and injuries, without the use of pharmaceuticals and without being stuck under fluorescent lighting all day every day. I feel it also really works hand in hand with movement modalities such as yoga. I absolutely love offering bodywork, and mostly offer a strong touch, with deep attention and intention to facilitate true change in the body.

I am open to many different healing modalities and, over everything, listen to the body on the table and let it guide the healing it needs.
